Our school community has recently welcomed a Ukrainian refugee family.
The mother arrived in Australia with her young son without her husband. He has stayed back in Ukraine.
I am pleased to say that our school and parish communities have welcomed this family with open arms and are doing all they can to support them during their transition to Australia.
It is heartwarming to see our students including the young boy in their games and our parents inviting the young mum for coffee catch ups.
This is what our school is about - we are a welcoming, nurturing school community where everyone feels like they belong!
