Meet Our Wellbeing Dog (Lola)

We are incredibly fortunate to have our wellbeing dog, Lola, onsite three days each week supporting the students and staff of Holy Family School Mount Waverley.

Lola brings great joy and calmness to our school environment and plays an important role in promoting positive wellbeing across our community. Research shows that wellbeing dogs can help reduce stress and anxiety, support emotional regulation, build confidence and encourage positive social interactions among students.

For many children, spending time with Lola provides comfort, connection and a sense of calm, particularly during challenging moments. She also helps foster empathy, responsibility and respectful relationships as students learn how to care for and interact positively with animals.

Lola’s presence contributes to creating a warm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported and ready to learn. We thank our staff and families for embracing the positive impact Lola continues to have within our school community.
