Raising social awareness and giving your time to support others are the key areas of Social Justice for our students. Social justice is more than just giving a gold coin.
- Year 6 students form our Student Representative Council. Each Monday morning these students visit all classrooms to go over events and expectations for the week ahead
- Year 6 students run 'Lunchtime Clubs' and our 'Community Village' each day of the week
- Some Year 5 and 6 students are our FIRE (Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education) Carriers. To be a FIRE Carrier is to exercise an important leadership role in the school community. FIRE carriers are students and teachers that share a passion for learning about Aboriginal culture and history and are committed to sharing this knowledge and promoting reconciliation within and beyond the school community.
- Year 4 students form our Mini Vinnies Team. As a member of the St Vincent de Paul Society Mini Vinnies they commit to making a difference in their world, to loving and respecting themselves, to reaching out to others in our school and community through friendship and doing good works.
