Teaching and learning is changing at Holy Family School! Our teachers are building on their skill of explicit teaching and our students are active and successful learners. Our Prep-Year 4 teachers are basing their teaching on the Science of Learning and Reading - phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension.
This explicit instruction builds one piece of learning on top of the other and constantly reviews what students have learnt.
Our students engage in daily reviews with their teachers and are active learners.
